As part of this collection, we have a number of fixed ring snaffles such as the popular Eggbutt snaffle, hanging cheek (also known as a Baucher) and full cheek snaffles. Fixed ring bits are more stable in the horse's mouth than loose ring bits so can be useful for any horse which struggles to cope with too much movement affecting contact and concentration. They are also handy for helping to improve steering by providing lateral movement.
Shires fixed ring bits come in a variety of mouthpieces from mild action to a stronger action including EquiKind mouthpieces with a scented rubber-type material and Dressage legal Lozenger bits. Shires produce fixed ring horse bits in the majority of common sizes and a number of thicknesses.
